Hi there,been on many trips,4times cederberge,2 baviaanskloof and surrounds,2the7 passes between knysna and George,criss cross the Groot Swartbergpass twice,done the twankwa karoo 2,and Namibia 1 and the list goes on. Iam very fortunate to do all this with my 1150 trouble free. Best bike ever.
My name is Werner and I bought my first bike in 1991 which was a RV90 Suzuki. Needless to say I upgraded soon after to a XL500 R Honda and then to a IT 490. I grew up in Walvis Bay so my first riding experience was in the dunes. With a lite scrambler dune riding was fun but with the heavier GS's not. Since then I had about 30 + bikes that ranged from Katanas to Dr 800's etc. At the moment I have a GS1150 and a Yamaha 700 Raptor.I enjoy every moment on my bikes and wish I had more time to explore Southern Africa and the ultimate tour through Africa to Egipt.
